Hey everyone how's it going today welcome back to another update so in today's update I really just want to answer one of the very common questions that I think a lot of people are still wondering or just simply put waiting for which is about whether or not they can still receive any of the unemployment benefits retroactive back pay specifically dedicated to anyone that might have gone through any kind of delays that to this day is still actually waiting for a lot of the back pay that they're still owed now with that being said
that if you have already received all of your past payments huge congrats I do want to do a very very quick update about what's been going on in terms of just unemployment in the beginning so this is the part that will hopefully apply to a much larger audience and then I also really just want to maybe end this by just talking about the brand new unemployment numbers
a very maybe just really quick insert notice is that I do know is that there are a lot of people that are still waiting for the results related to the unemployment lawsuits and I know that's something that's been a huge question mark in a lot of people's mind
but the big thing that's going on right now is that we are actually are to this day waiting for a lot of information from a lot of states to release it out now we do have some information but I've just been kind of waiting to try to compile them so we can kind of publish one more article to really just share as much as we possibly can
which I probably will make maybe I'll try to make it in release at the end of or something before the end of next week so definitely stays tuned for that but I do really just want to make a very quick insert for anyone that was kind of interested because I know there are a lot of people anxiously waiting for that but with that being said
so the story when it comes to maybe just start with just unemployment extension is that right now at this current time there are actually many many states that are trying to focus on creating something that's more of like an unemployment expansion
now this does actually relate relatively to extensions because what they're hoping to do is that they want to essentially try to open up the eligibility so more people can now try to get on to the unemployment program including the unemployment that actually currently exists as most of you guys notice is that there is something right now for vaccine mandates
The big idea is that they really want to focus to try to open it up to as many people as they possibly can there is a widened bill that is hoping to focus on that which is something that is not completely signed yet but it is on the table it's the widened bill
so as many people can try to get back onto the unemployment as possible for like another brand new round of it now there is maybe one state maybe one positive great news to share is that right now just recently in the state of Ohio they officially just approved an expansion bill where specifically about 5 000 people who maybe were not qualified for unemployment way back around the earlier part of this year can now potentially get back onto the enemy
or simply put it just to get on to the unemployment program in general 5000 is a lot of people especially considering the fact that this again keep in mind happens to be in one out of 50 different states so that is a lot of people for just one state imagine if they brought it onto the federal level but hopefully the big idea is that we can at least just know is that there are thousands of Americans other fellow Americans that are able to get some level of relief
now and a lot of this relief is going to be retroactive payments for people that originally may not have been qualified dating all the way back to around February march of 2021. so that is actually very very bright news if that happens to apply for you especially because this was after maybe like a nine to ten months stretch which is wild to really really think but it is physically what's happening and at least at the end of the day
they still remembered and they're finally able to take some level of action on it so the next thing may be to now really answer the golden question that many people are wondering which is about

whether or not they can still receive unemployment retroactive back pain?
and the answer is that you still can but it maybe be a little bit of a hurdle and stretch to do it but it is still a very very huge possibility and if that happens to apply to you it is probably absolutely worth it to at least try to pursue it if you are someone that is still owed unemployment to this very day maybe because you ran into some kind of delay in between your process when you were on unemployment
which happened to a lot of people for a lot of different reasons it could have been because some people had their accounts that were flagged as fraud there were some people that had to go through some kind of id my approval and they were you know struggling to get through that and there were also just a lot of people that maybe just had a lot of other just miscellaneous things that kind of popped up whether this was related to their state their program their employer their information is all sorts of different things
if any of that happened to apply for you the big thing is is that the great news is that you can still try to claim it the just general news is that it may be a little bit of a hurdle because it has already been about two months as crazy as I think since the unemployment program ended however inside of their servers and systems is still very much exists
the best bet if you're interested in trying to get information about that at this point I think would really be to try to go back or just to continue but I think in most people a lot of people took a pause but I think from here is to consider trying to call the unemployment offices and really just explain everything that we just mentioned and everything that's been going on and try to see if you can finally request
it now the biggest difference I think between doing it right now and a few months ago I will say is that I think a lot of unemployment offices are actually also a lot less busy and I think that's the really great news so it's hopefully now able to be a little bit easier to try to reach out to them a piece of very big advice that we have shared for a little bit of a while is that
if you are looking to call many many times many offices there are many different numbers that you can use sometimes for different languages sometimes for different specific situations within unemployment and the big bet is really to just try to take these numbers try to compile as many as you can rotate between them and also try to call it very very scattered times of day
so sometimes in the morning sometimes in the afternoon and sometimes later there isn't a universal answer but the general idea is that each stay can vary very drastically between how easy or how busy they are throughout the day when it comes to trying to reach the unemployment offices
the last thing that I really just want to share is really just the unemployment numbers that just came out which is literally right here the big idea is that in the last recent week about 268 000 people filed for unemployment so there is still a lot keep in mind is that this does not include pua because sadly the pua is not actually going on right now anymore sadly for that
of course, you know as we just mentioned is that if you are on the pua or were on the pua or PEUC you still very much can still get back paid by calling the offices and requesting ford so that's kind of what we just talked about um for maybe perspective the previous week it was around like 269 to 270 000 people filed so it's basically almost the same we have had an improvement
but at the end of the day, it shows is that that is still obviously a lot of people i believe specifically to this right now as we're speaking 2.1 million people are still actively collecting unemployment and I believe maybe for just general perspective is that at the very peak of the pandemic last year there was probably about during that like you know lockdown stretch about 40 million people I believe filed for unemployment
so it is a very very drastic there are still a lot of people we are still you know above pre-pandemic levels so we haven't gone back to normal yet but the idea is that there's definitely a lot of changes but there is also a little bit of an offness in numbers because there are a lot of people that actually sadly fell off of unemployment but aren't accounted for the numbers for just different reasons
thanks for reading and see you guys next time thank you guys so much again
